This multi-year project began by asking how to assess library makerspaces for adult participants.
ABC began with framing success and centering the patron’s goals and motivations to arrive at a meaningful measure of success. In this process, ABC identified common characteristics among spaces. Many of these characteristics can be directly leveraged or influenced by library staff.
